“Where did I find this article? Someone posted this thing about elephants? Where did I put this picture with aunt June?”
Are you tired of looking for pictures, events, websites in your browser history, an idea you wrote down somewhere, or are you struggling to share big files ?
vMe [vimi] is your virtual self, or your virtual memory. It memorizes anything you do on any digital devices you have and synchronizes them together in an encrypted way, without leaking any information, allowing you to find anything in one click thanks to an innovative data structure. vMe proposes easier access to personal and public data, and better control over one’s data.
vMe enables you to visualize the world in a revolutionary way and change how you search online thanks to three features: a software, a social network, and a human knowledge database.
The principle underlying the vMe software is a data structure that allows for quick data classification and accurate data retrieval. The structure itself will allow the community to create a Natural Language Processor: you will be able to talk to your device like your talk to another human being, with it being able understand you.
vMe is also able to record all your activities on your devices: movies you watch, text you type, clicks you make, and make them available for you for future questions: “What was that movie I watched starring Leonardo Di Caprio last month?” or “article about elephants posted by George last week”.
Within, this social network, finding any information would be very simple because of the structure of the data. You could wonder, who was that third person you were with at this event, and vMe would give you the answer immediately.
Virtualz is the vMe-compliant social network we sustain. You have total control over all sharing and communication preferences; you can have different profiles for different purposes. We will never sell any information about Virtualz’ users. Virtualz’ users can communicate with anyone using a vMe-compliant social network. Virtualz enforces the « right to be forgotten »: your profile belongs to you and you can erase any data you wish.
The events of public figures would enter the Human Knowledge database. The data describing their lives (sports person, politician) would be scrutinized into details, and any contributor could bring their piece of information, to add to their timeline. Events could be commented by any user, through their VCSN profile.
Nahal is also populated by importing open-data website. It’s therefore under open-data license. You can download all or part of Nahal and work offline.
vMe allows you to communicate encrypted information with your friends and backup your files and messages on your computer at home or on a remote server of your choosing.
vMe will be open source. You can adjust it to suit your needs and reuse it for yourself. You will have total control over anything this piece of software does.
You will be able to add elements of code or language to your vMe, making it evolve, and share your new functionalities with the rest of the vMe community.
vMe runs on any platform: iOS, Windows, Android, Linux. Installed on all your devices, it will allow you to interact in the same way with each of them and to centralize your virtual data.
The software and the services we provide will be free and free of advertisements. We will not sell nor collect any information about you.
You will be able to communicate with people on different vMe-compliant social networks (VCSN), and migrate your data from one VCSN to another in one click, for any reason, at any time.
You will be able to download data from or share it to Facebook, Twitter or Nahal. You will then use a unique interface to read a comment, post a picture, or write a friend.
